Black People Die By Suicide Too Honored as Organization of the Year

The “Let’s Talk About It” Gala, organized by Eustress Inc., encourages open conversations about mental health and suicide awareness, and reduces stigma. This year’s gala took place on May 18, 2024, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC. This was an evening of recognition, inspiration, and solidarity. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “Let’s Talk About It” Awards, which honored individuals and organizations that made significant contributions to mental health. The awards included Peer of the Year, Clinician of the Year, and Community Organization of the Year. Each awardee exemplified dedication, compassion, and a relentless commitment to improving mental health awareness and support.

We were thrilled to announce that Black People Die By Suicide Too was awarded the Organization of the Year. This recognition was a significant achievement, especially considering that our organization was founded just 11 months ago. What began as a podcast blossomed into a movement that made a profound impact on the Black community. The organization’s mission to raise awareness about the alarming rates of suicide among Black individuals and to provide much-needed support and resources resonated deeply and garnered widespread recognition. This award is a testament to our organization’s dedication and the crucial conversations they foster within the community.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all our supporters. Your unwavering support and commitment to mental health advocacy are invaluable. Together, we are creating a community where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued. Thank you for helping us make a difference.
