We are honored to share that the Black Women’s Mental Health Institute has renewed its $3,000 sponsorship for the second year in a row! Their ongoing support directly funds our Black & Suicidal Peer Support Groups and general operations, allowing us to continue creating safe spaces for healing, connection, and empowerment in the Black community.
At Black People Die By Suicide Too, we are deeply committed to providing culturally affirming peer support to Black individuals who have experienced suicide-related struggles. This sponsorship helps sustain and expand our work, ensuring that those in need have access to compassionate, understanding, and life-saving resources.
Suicide remains a critical issue in the Black community. However, stigma and lack of cultural humility often prevent individuals from seeking help. Through our Black & Suicidal Peer Support Groups, we offer a space where people can share their stories and receive support from trained peers who understand their lived experiences. This continued sponsorship means more individuals can receive the support they deserve.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Black Women’s Mental Health Institute for standing with us in this vital work. Their dedication to mental wellness and suicide prevention continues to make a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership.
Together, we are making a difference.
