As a committee member, you are required to donate at least 15 to 20 hours per month for one year to support our mission.
The Peer Support & Recovery Committee develops and oversee wellness initiatives that remove the stigma and barriers, provides linkages to resources that promote community, recovery, and hope in the Black community, and collaborate with the clinical committee as needed.
The Program Committee develops and oversee community and educational programming, for example, events, training, etc., that raise awareness of suicide prevention in the Black community.
The Clinical Committe provides clinical advisement on evidence-based treatment and collaborate with Program and Peer Support & Recovery Committees as needed.
The Finance Committee oversee all financial operations of the corporation, develop long-term fiscal plans, procure, and review external audits, and prepares and recommend an annual operating budget to the Board.
The Communications Committee assist in developing marketing and public relations efforts to increase the visibility of the BPDBST’s mission and programs and collaborates with all committees as needed.
The Development Committee oversee the corporation’s fundraising activities and shall collaborate its fundraising goals with the Finance and Communications Committees as needed.
BPDBST provides education and resources that instill hope in Black people suffering from mental health conditions. Our vision is to end suicide in the Black community. BPDBST is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. TAX ID Number: 93-1865037.
